TU Graz tests Aigner Fire Curtains in Roppen Tunnel
3 August 2009To demonstrate the operation of the new FireCurtains the Graz University of Technology has been instructed by “ASFINAG” to run real fire tests in the Roppen Tunnel.
The FireCurtains had been installed in both tubes in the past year to protect people in case of fire. The curtains reduce the air velocity in the tunnel so that smoke is removed faster and people can leave the tunnel safely!
