Madrid has to deal with an unbearable amount of traffic, which causes air pollution and traffic jams day after day. As a solution the world’s biggest underground project is now being realized and will be furnished with a filter system of Aigner.

For Aigner Tunnel Technology this means the greatest order in the company history with an amount of € 16.3 million!

The new tunnel system will extend over a length of 34 km and ensure a fluent traffic underground and much more recreational areas for the people on the surface. Nine filtration plants with our ECCO technology for A3, A5 (Avenida Portugal) and By-Pass Tunnel will ensure clean air in the tunnel system and also on top.
